John and his family visited Temple the Sunday after the bridge collapse in Minneapolis. Just a few blocks from Bethlehem. I had planned to conclude my sermon on courage by referring to the link below which contains an article he wrote the night of the tragedy. Its about putting his daughter to bed that night and its very moving.
Since he showed up at our worship service I asked him to sing the song(which he sings every night to his daughter Talitha) I had planned to quote in my conclusion. He actually did! His wife Noelle told me as they left that I had managed to get him to do something no one had ever managed to get him to do before!
